Las Vegas Venetian Hotel
The Las Vegas Venetian Hotel is based on the Italian city of Venice, and is famous for its Gondolas, that travel on the Canals, both inside and outside of the hotel itself. As a tourist visiting Las Vegas, you cannot visit the Venetian Hotel, without taking a ride on a chauffered gondola as it glides beneath balconies & bridges, and alongside the Venetian cafes. The Venetian hotel shopping mall is another must-see sight when visiting Vegas. The mall has quaint cobble streets with fine stores and cafes. Talented performers including Musicians and 'Living Statues' perform daily in the mall, providing excellent free entertainment. Madame TussaudsAnother popular attraction at the Venetian Hotel is the Madame Tussauds Waxworks, featuring all your favorite celebrities. Don't forget to take your camera, as the waxworks is filled with opportunities for fun and memorable photos - you can have your photo taken while 'marrying' George Clooney or while hanging out with Cameron Diaz!
Venetian ShowsThe Las Vegas Venetian Hotel has been showing 'Phantom' in its magnificent custom-built theatre, for over 2 years now, and the show continues to be widely acclaimed. The show is incorporates all the songs from the original Phantom of the Opera musical, into a 95-minute stunning production, which is enhanced by incredible special effects. This show is not to be missed! If you want to go to a show that is completely different from anything you have ever experienced before, you must go to see the 'Blue Man Group' at the Venetian Hotel. This show combines humor, music and choreography to create an unforgettable and enjoyable display which is totally unique. For those who like wit and humor, the Venetian hosts performances from top comedians. The hotel's regular act is Wayne Brady, who combines comedy with impersonations of singers such as Ben Vereen and Sammy Davis Jr. As the adjacent Palazzo Hotel is actually part of the Venetian, you will find that the Venetian Hotel also offers the 'Jersey Boys' show, which is performed at the Palazzo. SuitesThe Las Vegas Venetian Hotel only offers suites, which are spacious, clean and of a high standard. All suites have either one king-size or two queen-size beds, with Egyptian cotton sheets. There is also a comfortable sitting area, a formal dining area, a private work area and a plush bathroom, which provides huge bath sheets and soft robes. A wireless internet service is available to guests at a small charge (approx. $10 per day). As a word of warning, don't remove any items from the fridge in your suite, unless you want to be charged for them, as they are all linked to sensors, which automatically charge them to your room bill. Also, don't expect the best views of the strip, as the Venetian doesn't have particularly good strip views. However there are rooms with great views of the beautiful mountains, or the nearby Wynn Hotel golf course. LocationThe Las Vegas Venetian Hotel is situated just south of its exclusive new building, the Palazzo Hotel, and across the Strip from the Mirage Hotel. This is an excellent location, slightly North of, but within easy walking distance of the big strip hotels, such as Caesars Palace and the Bellagio. The Venetian also has the advantage of being very close to the Fashion Show Mall. |
