  Stratosphere Tower

If you want thrills on your Las Vagas vacation, then you should visit the Las Vegas Stratosphere Hotel. The Hotel is famous for the Stratosphere tower, which soars 1,149 feet above the strip. For a small fee, you can take a high-speed elevator ride up to the viewing platform at the top of the tower, where you will enjoy spectacular views of the Las Vegas Strip and the nearby valley.

For a truly special or romantic gourmet experience, go for a meal in the award-winning 'Top of the World' revolving restaurant, which offers excellent food and drink, and a 360-degree panoramic view of Las Vegas, from a height of 800 feet.

  Stratosphere Rides

The rides at the top of the Las Vegas Stratosphere tower will satisfy even the most daring of thrill-seekers. You can ride on:

  • Insanity, the Ride - a giant mechanical arm that extends over the edge of the tower and spins you around above a drop of over 800 feet
  • X-Scream - a ride that sends you speeding over the edge of the tower, and briefly suspends you in mid-air before you are drawn back to safety
  • Big Shot - the ride that shoots you up 160 feet at a speed of 45mph

The most fun part of these rides is that spectators can watch from the tower's observation deck - including the reactions of those who are brave enough to go on the rides!

  Stratosphere Pools

The Stratosphere has 2 pools. The main Resort Swimming Pool is located on the 8th floor of the World Tower, and features a large pool, a hot tub, a poolside cafe and a bar. You can even enjoy a game of pool volleyball, as there is frequently a net set up over the Resort Pool

For those wanting a quieter and more private pool scene, the Stratosphere has the 'Beach Club 25' pool, which allows topless sunbathing. The Beach Club 25 pool is located outside the 25th floor, and offers beautiful view of Las Vegas.

  Other Stratosphere Entertainment

As well as thrills of the Tower with its revolving restaurant and heart-stopping rides, the Las Vegas Stratosphere Hotel provides numerous facilities to entertain you, including:

  • The Stratosphere Hotel shopping mall, which offers a great selection of unusual shops, that are ideal for finding souvenirs and gifts
  • Indoor & outdoor fitness centers
  • The Roni Josef Salon Spa, where you can be pampered with one of the many luxury treatments
  • A variety of restaurants, ranging from the 'Top of the World' gourmet award-winning restaurant, to the 'Roxy's Diner' 50's style rock 'n roll diner. Don't miss the excellent daily Stratosphere brunch or dinner buffet.
  • The Stratosphere casino, which covers 80,000 square feet, and has over 50 gaming tables, and a race & sports book
  • A selection of bars, in which you can either take in the views of the city from the Stratosphere Tower (the Level 107 Lounge or the Air Bar), party into the early hours (in the C Bar), or relax while enjoying live music (in the Images Duelling Piano Bar)

  Stratosphere Shows

Every day except Thursday (and twice daily on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays), the Stratosphere Hotel shows its 'American Superstars' celebrity impersonators show, which features, among others, Elvis, Britney Spears, and Michael Jackson impersonators.

The Stratosphere hotel's other long-running show is 'Bite', which is an erotic, topless show about 'Lord Vampire' and his search for the perfect female specimen.

  Location

The Las Vegas Stratosphere Hotel is situated at the North end of Las Vegas Strip, so will involve a good walk, or a short cab ride, to get to the main tourist area in the southern and central parts of the Strip. However, due to its location, the rooms in the hotel are less expensive than many of the hotels in the middle or southern areas of the Strip. Also, some people prefer the Northern location of the Stratosphere Hotel in Las Vegas, as it is closer to Downtown Las Vegas, than the other strip hotels.
