Las Vegas Mandalay Bay Hotel
Mandalay Bay Shark Reef AquariumFor great family entertainment, the Las Vegas Mandalay Bay Hotel also features a Shark Reef Aquarium, which contains over 2,000 creatures, including jellyfish, endangered green sea-turtles, rare golden crocodiles, and of course, many different types of shark. The Shark Reef Aquarium has something for everyone. Kids love to visit the Touchpool, where they can put their hands in the water to touch the fish, and everyone is fascinated by the Aqua Tunnel, that gives you a diver's view of the sharks and other aquatic life. Mandalay Bay guests who are dive certified can experience a real dive of a lifetime in the Shipwreck Exhibit, surrounded by sharks, green sea turtles and schools of fish. Mandalay Bay Hotel PoolThe Mandalay Bay Hotel has the best pool area on Vegas Strip. The pool area, which covers 11 acres, has been made into a 'beach', with 2,700 tons of imported sand and a huge wave pool. There are also 3 other swimming pools, a lazy river and a running track. Seating is provided around the pools, but there are also 100 cabanas available for rent. In the center of the Mandalay Beach, is the bikini bar, and by the wave pool, you will find the glass-fronted casino where you can dine or gamble, without worrying about changing out of your beach clothing. The only complaint about the Mandalay Beach is that it can get busy, and it can be difficult to get seats in the afternoons. If you are willing to pay an extra fee, you may prefer to spend time in the exclusive 'Moorea Beach Club', which is open at weekends. The Moorea Beach Club is a secluded and private pool area, which is open to guests aged 21 and over. This area allows European style (topless) sunbathing and offers a VIP poolside service.
