The hotel is grand in every sense of the word, with almost seven thousand rooms and suites, sixteen restaurants & cafes, six swimming pools, and its huge casino, which occupies 171,500 square feet of floor space.

The Las Vegas MGM Grand Hotel is famous for its lions - including "Leo", the huge 45-foot bronze statue that guards the front of the building, and the huge lion habitat in the hotel foyer. Tourists flock into the hotel to see the lions through the glass wall of their enclosure, or walk through the glass tunnel that passes right underneath the lions. If you time your visit well, you can see the handlers hand-feeding, or playing with the lions.

The Las Vegas MGM Grand has an amazing pool area, - the 'Grand Pool Complex', which consists of 5 pools, 3 whirlpools, and a huge lazy river, surrounded by beautiful tropical plants, waterfalls and fountains. Another advantage of the MGM Pool Complex is that there are lots of sunbeds, so although the area can get quite busy, you shouldn't have too many problems getting a seat.

  Wet Republic Ultra Pool

For those who prefer an adults-only poolside party environment, the MGM also has the exclusive 'Wet Republic Ultra Pool', which is open to over-21 year olds only. The Wet Republic consists of 2 saltwater pools, 8 individual pools & spas, daybeds, chaise lounges and luxury cabanas & poolside bungalows for rent. DJs play out lively music across the 2,500 square-foot lounge area, where you can dance, socialise, or lie back with a cocktail.
