If you want a hotel that is in the perfect location, but doesn't cost the earth, Bill's Gamblin' Hall and Saloon may be hotel for you. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and due to the hotel being much smaller than the typical Las Vegas Strip hotels, there are generally no long queues to check-in. Also, the drinks in Bill's are cheaper than in many of the main Strip hotels and the bars provide a free, down-to-earth, fun environment.

The hotel was previously named Barbary Coast, but had its name changed to Bill's Gamblin' Hall Saloon when it was bought by Harrah's Entertainment in 2007.

  Hotel Pool

Bill's Gamblin' Hall and Saloon doesn't have its own pool. However, the hotel is owned by the same company as the next door Flamingo Hotel. Because of this, guests at Bill's are allowed to use the facilities at the Flamingo pool, which is one of the best pool areas on the Strip.

  Other Amenities

Bill's Gamblin' Hall doesn't have as many facilities as many of the main Strip hotels. However, it does offer :

  • Two restaurants: The renowned Steakhouse, which has been awarded an AAA three-diamond rating, and the Victorian Room, which offers a variety of Chinese and traditional American cuisine.

  • A casino, which covers over 17,000 square feet of floor space and offers the usual slots, table games, poker and a race & sportsbook

  • "Bill's Lounge", which offers a relaxing environment in which you can enjoy the regular live Elvis impersonator or the karaoke

  • The "Drais" Nightclub, offering an after-hours bar and music

  Bill's Entertainment

The entertainment in Bill's Lounge is excellent. The "Big Elvis" impersonator always draws in the crowds as he combines his singing talent with humor and audience interaction. The show is free, so if you want a seat, you need to get to the lounge well before the start of the show.

Also, between 8pm and 2am on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday evenings, the lounge hosts a fun karaoke evening.

  Rooms

Due to the value of the rooms in Bill's Gamblin' Hall and Saloon, you can't expect the most luxurious rooms on the strip. However, the rooms are clean, spacious and of a decent standard, with quality furnishings. Also, due to the hotel being much smaller than the typical Las Vegas Strip hotels, you generally need only walk a short distance to get to your room from any part of the hotel.

Select from the Deluxe Queen room, the Deluxe King room or the Suite at Bill's. All rooms and suites are equipped with a plasma TV and high-speed internet access, and some of the suites have Jacuzzi tubs.

  Location

You genuinely could not get a better location than Bill's Gamblin' Hall and Saloon. The hotel is located in the center of the Strip, opposite Caesars Palace, and between the Flamingo Hotel and Ballys Hotel.

Therefore, Bill's is ideal for travellers who want value accommodation with easy access to the main center-strip attractions.
