If you are the sort of person who loves to spend all day by the pool, you may want to choose your hotel from the following list of the top ten best Vegas pools.

1. Mandalay Beach

The Mandalay Bay Hotel pool area (known as 'Mandalay Beach') has been voted into the number one position in our list of the pools in Las Vegas. Mandalay Beach has been made from 2,700 tons of imported sand and covers 11 acres of land. There are 4 swimming pools, including a huge wave pool, and a lazy river. Music is played out, around the pools, creating a fun and lively atmosphere.

Customers at the Mandalay Beach are served drinks from the 'Bikini Bar', or they can dine or gamble in the glass-fronted casino, without worrying about changing out of beach clothing.

The Mandalay Resort also a secluded and private pool area, the 'Moorea Beach Club', which is open at weekends to guests aged 21 and over. There is an additional fee for entry to the Moorea Beach Club but the area offers a VIP poolside service and European style (topless) sunbathing.

2. The Palms Hotel Pool

The Palms Hotel has an amazing pool area, with 2 acres of pools and 3 bars, including the appropriately named 'Waterfall Bar' which is situated behind a huge 12-foot waterfall.

The pool attracts lots of young people, due to its great party atmosphere with a live DJ and a huge stage, which hosts live concerts. There are a number of poolside bungalows that can be rented, so that guests can watch the concert in comfort, and then stay over afterwards.

3. The Flamingo Hotel Pool

The Flamingo Hotel has one of the most fantastic and lively pool areas on Las Vegas Strip. The main pool is split up into a series of lagoons, all of which are interconnected. In the center of the pool area, you will find the stunning waterfall, and water slide, which is open during the summer, and surrounding the pool, you will find the poolside Beach Club Cafe, the Poolside BBQ, and 3 different bars.

The Flamingo also has a separate adult pool, the 'GO Pool', which allows European style sunbathing in a private area, surrounded by Palm trees. There is a fee for men to enter the Go Pool area, but once inside you will receive VIP service in a lively and fun environment.

4. Mirage Hotel Pool

The Las Vegas Mirage Hotel has one of the most beautiful, as well as one of the best pools in Vegas.

The pool area has a huge heated main pool, hot tubs, refreshing waterfalls, and water slides, all surrounded by tropical gardens. Guests are provided with clean towels, and enjoy an attentive drinks service.

For those who want a greater level of privacy with exclusive treatment, the Mirage has the adults-only 'Bare' pool, which allows topless sunbathing. The 'Bare' pool has a lively, party atmosphere, with a DJ, who plays fun music out around the pool, while guests are treated to the ultimate VIP service.

5. Caesars Palace 'Garden of the Gods'

The 4.5 acre 'Garden of the Gods Pool Oasis' in Caesars Palace is a Roman-themed luxury haven, where you can relax, away from the hectic activity on the Strip. The Garden of the Gods has 3 luxury swimming pools, two jacuzzis, fountains and beautiful green lawns.

The pools are all different and therefore there is something to suit all tastes. The main pool, the 'Temple Pool', features marble columns and mosaics, and provides a fun and lively epicenter for the whole Garden of the Gods pool area, while the rectangular 'Neptune Pool' is ideal for serious swimmers who want to swim laps. Alternatively, for those who prefer a quieter pool experience, the 'Venus Pool' provides a serene and relaxing environment.

There are bars serving drinks and snacks around the whole pool area, and for additional privacy and pampering, guests can rent out luxury cabanas.

6. MGM Grand Pool Complex

The Las Vegas MGM Grand Hotel has an amazing pool area, - the 'Grand Pool Complex', which consists of 5 pools, 3 whirlpools, and a huge lazy river, surrounded by beautiful tropical plants, waterfalls and fountains. There is a pool to suit everyone, including fun pools, that you can take rafts or other toys into, a pool that is designed for swimming laps, and the lazy river for relaxing.

There is an excellent drinks service, and for several hours a day, music is played through speakers, which makes the area fun and lively. This, along with the numerous games and activities makes the MGM Grand Pool Complex a great choice for families.

For those who prefer an adults-only poolside party environment, the MGM also has the exclusive 'Wet Republic Ultra Pool', which is open to over-21 year olds only. The Wet Republic consists of 2 saltwater pools, 8 individual pools & spas, daybeds, chaise lounges and luxury cabanas & poolside bungalows for rent. DJs play out lively music across the 2,500 square-foot lounge area, where you can dance, socialise, or lie back with a cocktail.

7. The Bellagio Pool Area

The Las Vegas Bellagio pool area is one of the most luxurious in Vegas. The pool area is located in a beautiful courtyard setting, and has five luxury heated swimming pools and four hot tubs, which are open all year round.

These excellent facilities are accompanied by an attentive poolside service, providing guest with clean towels, snacks at the poolside cafe, and a full bar service.

For additional luxury, there is a poolside massage service and cabanas, which can be rented by the day.

8. Hard Rock Hotel Beach Club

The Hard Rock Hotel's 'Beach Club' is a beautiful meandering pool with real sand beaches, landscaped rocks and towering palm trees.

The pool has a swim-up blackjack table, so you can enjoy a game while taking a refreshing dip in the pool, or there are further blackjack games and craps in the poolside Palapa Hut. For those who require an additional service, there are luxury cabanas for rent.

Every Sunday, the Hard Rock hosts the famous 'Rehab' pool party, which attracts thousands of party revellers and top guest celebrity DJs. If you like loud and lively parties, you must not miss this one!

9. Tropicana Hotel Pool

The Las Vegas Tropicana Hotel has recently renovated its beautiful pool area, which has cascading waterfalls, surrounded by tropical gardens. The poolside Coconut Grove Bar provides a fun and relaxing environment, and during the summer months, there is a swim-up blackjack game, with a special waterproof table and a heated drop-box, to dry paper money. There are also 3 outdoor spa pools, to help you to relax in complete luxury.

Also, the hotel has recently announced a partnership with leading lifestyle entertainment group, Nikki Beach, and has announced plans to open a new 'Nikki Beach Club' in the Spring of 2011. The new Beach Club which will provide a first class pool experience with a restaurant, an outdoor cafe and bar, sand volleyball courts and an outdoor concert space.

If it lives up to expectations, the new Nikki Beach Club could be competing for the top position in our list of best Vegas pools!

10. Monte Carlo Hotel Pool

The Monte Carlo Hotel features a fun and lively family pool area, with waterfalls and four separate pools, including a wave pool and a 400 foot long lazy river, on which you can take a leisurely raft ride. Between 12 noon & 5pm, from Thursdays to Sundays the pool features a pool party with DJs playing music, and games & entertainment. Therefore, the Monte Carlo pool is better suited to those who want entertainment and fun, rather than those who want a quiet place to relax.
